This drill mounting kit is primarily designed for cordless combi drills with a forward-mounted handgrip and therefore less space to fit the standard MIXPoint ring clamp. Fits best on professional brands; less suited to economy and DIY drills. See More Info below for further guidance. All MIXPoint attachments are still supplied with the original ring clamp as this is suitable for many traditional rotary drills.

The MIXPoint Multi-drill Mounting Kit will be suitable for a wide range of compact combi drills which feature a motor housing behind the handle grip. However, it will NOT be a 100% fit on all such drills. In general, if the drill rear housing is roughly cylindrical, the blue clamping pieces will fit; if the underside of the housing is notably angled, then the drill is unlikely to be suitable.
Our observation is that more powerful cordless drills from professional brands such as Makita, DeWalt, Hikoki and Bosch fit best, as most have a powerful motor and therefore a larger motor housing. You’ll notice they will usually accept high capacity batteries, perhaps 5 or 6 ah.
By contrast, lower cost cordless drills often have less powerful motors and are offered with small capacity batteries. With such devices, we generally find the motor housing is too slim or angular for our clamp to fit securely.
